Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 10, 2024
· Developer: Bharatiya Innovators
Designed with privacy in mind
SmArt Task ManageR is designed to keep task information on your
device. According to our stated practices, the app does not
operate its own remote servers to collect or synchronize your
task information.
01
Overview
Welcome to SmArt Task ManageR ("App", "we", "us",
or "our"), developed by Bharatiya Innovators.
We value your privacy and aim to be transparent about how
information is handled when you use our Android application.
This Privacy Policy describes our stated data-handling practices,
the permissions used by the app, and the controls available to you.
Please read it carefully before using the application.
02
Data Storage & Privacy by Design
Local task storage: Task information, including
task titles, descriptions, categories, repetition schedules,
completion statuses, and app preferences, is intended to be
stored locally on your device using a Room database.
No developer-operated task synchronization:
The app is designed as an offline productivity tool and does not
operate its own remote server for automatically uploading,
synchronizing, tracking, or selling your task information.
Device and system services: Android operating
system features, device backup settings, speech engines, and any
enabled third-party components may operate independently of the
app. Their behavior depends on your device configuration and the
services you use.
Your device's backup configuration may affect whether app data is
copied or restored by Android. Do not assume that clearing local
storage removes copies that may exist in a separately configured
device backup.
03
Data We Do Not Intentionally Collect
Under the app's stated data practices, we do not intentionally
collect or transmit the following categories of personal
information to developer-operated servers:
Personally identifying details such as your full name, postal address, or phone number.
Biometric information such as fingerprints or facial-recognition data.
Precise GPS location coordinates.
Personal photos, contacts, media, or files from your device.
Your task titles, descriptions, and completion history for remote task tracking.
The app's actual behavior, operating-system services, and any
third-party components must be considered when interpreting these
statements. We do not intend this section to describe independent
processing performed by Android or other services outside our
control.
04
Android Permissions & Their Purpose
SmArt Task ManageR may request Android permissions to provide
reminders, schedule alarms, and deliver voice notifications.
Permission availability and behavior depend on your Android
version, device settings, and applicable system restrictions.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Requests permission to display task reminders and
notification alerts on Android 13 and later, where
applicable.
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM
Supports scheduling alarms at precise times for tasks
that require time-sensitive reminders, subject to Android
permission and eligibility requirements.
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW
Allows supported overlay interfaces to appear over other
apps when required by a reminder feature and authorized
by the user.
USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT
Supports full-screen, call-style reminder interfaces for
eligible high-priority tasks, subject to Android and
Google Play restrictions.
MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS
Supports audio-setting adjustments associated with voice
reminders and compatible audio output behavior.
WAKE_LOCK
Helps keep the processor running during supported alarm
operations so the app can perform time-sensitive reminder
tasks.
BLUETOOTH
Supports the detection or use of compatible connected
Bluetooth audio devices for voice reminder output, where
permitted by the Android version and implementation.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED
Allows the app to restore eligible scheduled reminders
after the device restarts.
DISABLE_KEYGUARD
May support the intended reminder screen experience on
compatible devices. It does not grant permission to
bypass the user's device authentication or security.
We intend these permissions to support the app's task management
and reminder features, not to collect unrelated personal
information. You can manage available permissions in Android
settings.
Some permissions require separate user approval or are subject
to Android version-specific restrictions. Denying a permission
or enabling battery restrictions may affect reminder behavior.
05
Third-Party Services
The app is designed to operate without third-party advertising
or cross-app tracking SDKs.
Android system services, installed text-to-speech engines,
Bluetooth components, device manufacturers, and services
configured by you may process information according to their
own policies. For example, speech processing behavior can vary
depending on whether your selected speech engine operates
entirely on-device or uses an external service.
Please consult the relevant provider's privacy information
for services that are independently managed by that provider.
06
Data Security, Retention & Deletion
Task information is intended to remain in the app's local
storage. The Android application sandbox provides operating
system isolation between applications, but no storage system
can be guaranteed to be completely secure in every circumstance.
You can edit or delete task information within the app where
those controls are available. You can also clear the app's
storage or uninstall it through Android settings.
Clearing storage or uninstalling the app may permanently remove
locally stored tasks, preferences, and schedules. Separately
retained device backups, if enabled, may be subject to Android's
backup and restoration behavior.
Because the app is designed without a developer-operated
account-based task repository, we do not provide server-side
recovery of tasks that exist only in local app storage.
07
Children's Privacy
SmArt Task ManageR is not specifically directed at children
under 13 years of age. Under the app's stated data practices,
we do not knowingly collect children's personal information
through a developer-operated task data collection system.
If you believe that personal information has been provided
to us in a manner inconsistent with this policy, please contact
us using the details below so that we can review your concern.
08
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app,
its features, applicable requirements, or our data-handling
practices.
Updated versions will display a revised effective date where
appropriate. If a change materially affects privacy, we will
provide notice or obtain consent where required by applicable
law.

Denied or revoked Android permissions.
Battery optimization and manufacturer-specific background restrictions.
Device shutdown, restart, low battery, or power-saving modes.
Do Not Disturb settings, notification settings, or system-level restrictions.
Changes to the system clock, time zone, or daylight-saving rules where applicable.

Unavailable or misconfigured audio output and text-to-speech services.
You should periodically review your schedules and device settings,
particularly after an operating system update or a change to
application permissions.
05
Not a Safety-Critical Alert System
SmArt Task ManageR is a productivity tool, not an emergency
notification service, medical device, or guaranteed safety-critical
alert system.
Do not rely on the app as your sole means of managing emergencies,
medication schedules, life-critical deadlines, or other situations
where a missed reminder could cause serious harm. Use appropriate
alternative safeguards where necessary.
06
Local Data & Data Loss
Task information and app preferences are designed to be stored
locally on your device. Unless a separately documented feature
is provided, you should not assume that the developer maintains
a server-side copy of your tasks.
Clearing application storage, uninstalling the app, resetting
your device, or experiencing device failure may result in
permanent loss of locally stored information. Any backup or
restoration behavior depends on the relevant system and
configuration.
You are responsible for maintaining independent copies of
information that is important to you, using supported methods
where available.
07
Intellectual Property & Permitted Use
The application and its developer-created branding, design,
graphics, and software are owned by or licensed to Bharatiya
Innovators, subject to any applicable third-party rights.
You may use the app for your personal, lawful task-management
purposes in accordance with these terms and the applicable
distribution platform's rules.
You must not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, or
reproduce, redistribute, or exploit protected materials without
appropriate authorization, except where permitted by applicable
law or an applicable license.
08
Availability & Changes to the App
We may update, modify, improve, limit, or discontinue features
as necessary for maintenance, compatibility, security, or other
legitimate product requirements.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or compatibility
with every device or future operating system version. Where
required by law, applicable consumer rights and remedies remain
unaffected.
09
Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided
on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without a guarantee that
every feature will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for
every user's particular requirements.
The developer is not responsible for failures caused by device
power restrictions, operating system behavior, unavailable
permissions, incompatible software, incorrect user settings,
or other circumstances outside the developer's reasonable
control, to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such
exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law,
including any mandatory consumer rights or remedies.
10
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
Revised terms will be published with an updated effective date
where appropriate.
Where required by applicable law, material changes will be
notified and any necessary consent will be obtained. Continued
use of the app will be treated as acceptance of revised terms
only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
11
Applicable Law & Severability
These terms are subject to applicable laws and mandatory
consumer protections. Any governing-law or dispute-resolution
provisions must be interpreted consistently with rights that
cannot lawfully be waived.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions
will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
